Night Light issue

After yesterdays update my Night Light automatic on/off timeline is wrong.

Although the region and time are correct Nigh Shift thinks sundown in my country is almost 2 hours after the actual sundown.

I have reset everything but the times are still wrong. Region and time is correct and set to auto. I have had to put it in manual.

Is this a bug i should expect to be fixed?

Replace your CMOS battery for the BIOS/UEFI settings, usually a CR2032 3v Lithium cell. Easy on a PC.

KB5077241 is in release preview. Microsoft does not report any issues in it's KB article.Neither does the feedback hub or the web report such issues as yours. So if the update is the cause, possibly you went into the update with file corruption. If you have a recent image, restoring an image would be the best thing. Other than that, I have few suggestions to offer you.

1. Make sure you are running the latest version of your graphics driver.

2. Make sure you have no system file corruption.
Open command prompt as administrator. Enter this command.
]c]dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth[/c]
When complete, Restart computer

Then open command prompt as admin again and run sfc /scannow
Pay attention to the scan results to see if SFC found anything it could not repair

3.Other than that you can attempt to uninstall the update through Windows update. However, by reading MS support article February 24, 2026—KB5077241 (OS Builds 26200.7922 and 26100.7922) Preview - Microsoft Support
It appears that update is a combined LCU (Latest Cumulative Update) and SSU (servicing stack) update. If it won't uninstall normally that article says to uninstall the LCU using DISM .

4. Don't use the feature.
I strongly suggest imaging the system before making changes.

You will get the same update on 3/10 when it goes into release phase unless you pause your updates.

Age of PC ~8 years, and time related issues.
Whilst it may not be the cause battery needs replacement to eliminate a possible cause. They only cost around 2 €/£/$ from any supermarket etc.
