I'm a life long Mac guy
I bought a mini PC from Amazon (China)
I am using this with my live sound system, the mixer spits out an interface in HTML. Soundcraft UI24
we had thunderstorms so I unplugged from the wall
the PC came up in BLUESCREEN mode
This mini PC did NOT come with any OS install disk

I bought Win 11 and installed it from USB.....ver 24H2 Build 26100.4484
at first, it was normal, I was getting audio out of the box
then audio stopped getting out of the box....why I dont know
I see audio signal in Settings > Sound > Speakers.
My audio options are Speakers or, I guess the audio for my 22" touchscreen monitor
I rebooted the PC. still not working.

I am downloading Realtek to see if this will make it work
any help is greatly appreciated.

I'm pretty sharp..........nothing is muted. I am downloading Realtek on my Mac. I'll copy to the mini PC and see if that works. I did a Win 11 update. My Mac life is so different.

Do you know the actual name of the company that made the computer and it's model? I could be wrong but I don't think the manufacturer's name is China. The reason I'm asking is because you may have to go to their website to download the correct drivers. When I did a clean install of Windows on one of my Beelink computers, Windows couldn't find a number of drivers. I had to go to the BeeLink site and search for the specific drivers for my model.

Probably Windows Update installed new audio drivers that are not 100% compatible (partial vendor ID and product ID match). This causes Device Manager to report the device is OK but no sound comes out of the speakers. Go to Settings, Apps, Installed Apps and uninstall any Realtek audio software. Restart to see if you have sound. Use a utility such as Windows Automatic Update Manager (WAU Manager) to hide (block) the audio driver update.

thanks for your input. I DO NOT have Realtek audio drivers installed. SETTINGS > SOUND only has, Headphone, Speakers, and the driver for my Lenovo 22" touch screen monitor. (LI2341t WIDE) Maybe I remove THAT? I disabled that.........and still no audio output.

If there is nothing audio related in Installed Apps, then plan B: Search for Device Manager and open it. Expand the Sound, video and games controllers. Then click on the sound card. Press DEL to uninstall it. If asked to also delete the drivers, check the box to do so and restart the computer. Windows should detect and install the audio drivers, see if that makes any change.

PS: Have you tried to connect headphones or external speakers? I have seen a laptop with faulty speakers that produced no sound but it worked with headphones or external speakers. If you have connected an external monitor or TV via HDMI, then the audio is passed to the TV (HDMI audio). You can however switch to the laptop speakers by selecting them from the speaker icon near the clock. Click on the speaker icon to reveal the volume control, then click on the ^ top right to see all the available audio outputs and select the Speakers.

It didn't work. Same result. Signal in Settings > Sound.........no audio output.

there is 1 ⅛" jack on the front. So I have a cable from that to my speaker. I have no idea what the headphone option is. Neither Headphone or speakers option spits audio out the 1 and only jack.

Visit's your motherboard support site (computer support site if it is HP, Dell, Lenovo, whatever). See if there is any newer BIOS version from what you currently have which might improve compatibility. Download and install it VERY carefully. Also download and install the chipset and audio drivers.

It seems unlikely that a headphone jack on the front of your PC will run your speaker directly.
(Your speaker probably needs a line-level output like it would receive from your mixer, for example)

Have you tried plugging into the front headphone jack with a set of wired phones that have a tip/sleeve configuration?

I have found that if one plugs into a front-facing speaker jack with a TRS plug, like we use on our cell phones, there is no audio as the plug does not align properly. This is why there is a separate mic jack on the front of the PC.

I plug my earbuds into the front
I select headphones in SYSTEM > SOUND
I adjust the master volume for headphones, I hear the confirmation tone.......yet NO audio comes out the speakers.
Do I need to get a USB-C (jack on back) to ⅛ ?
