No Defender updates today?

When you think about it, it's a little scary that Defender needs a daily update... 🤔

Maybe so but when MS has a History of daily updates, then they stop..make one think there is a problem. If MS was more transparent about what they do it would help.

There's obviously problems with Defender. The current update, 1.459.601 was released yesterday at 3.16 GMT. All they've been doing is updating the timestamp.

This is the same update that was released yesterday (7th). It's the same update that's being reposted but with a different time unless threats are being added to 601each time which seems odd. If you look at the release notes for this Update it's the same as yesterday.

As there's always a monthly platform update that resets the version, is it likely that is the problem? These platform updates normally show before patch Tuesday I'm wondering if the update a couple of weeks ago to fix the false defender popup counts as this month's?
