Windows 11 x64 Home
I just spent over an HOUR talking to the idiots at Microsoft, and they can't understand my problem. I DO NOT WANT TO SEE ICONS GROUPED EVER ON MY TASKBAR! They told me that was a feature introduced in Windows 10. BULLCRAP! I've been a Windows user since 1984, and that's PURE CRAP!

Since the MORONS at Microsoft don't know how to effectively manage their OWN operating system, is there a third-party solution to prevent icons from being grouped on the taskbar? I'm a MULTITASKER, and how can I manage to DO that when all the dammed open folders have ONE icon on the taskbar? It's like they're calling us IDIOTS, and we're just supposed to LAUGH and SMILE?

The ONLY reason I haven't been 100% pure Unix/Linux is that software manufacturers are largely Microsoft sycophants, and gaming SUCKS because of that.

Really? They're talking to me like I'm the complete idiot? I have administered over FIFTY operating systems.

I DO NOT WANT TO SEE JUST ONE LIBRARY ICON FOR OPEN FOLDERS ON MY TASKBAR; I WANT TO SEE THEM ALL.

If you want to see or choose an open folder, hover the mouse over the icon on the taskbar and a popup should appear showing all of the open folders/apps, as shown below. You may then choose which folder/app instance to open by clicking on the appropriate representation of the app/folder.

This feature may be turned on/off in the group policy editor (Windows 11 Pro). User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Start Menu and Taskbar > Turn off taskbar thumbnails.

I also do not like grouping. I am getting used to Task View which shows all the open windows.

If you feel this way about 11 why use it? 🤷‍♂️ Just use 10,, it's going to be supported until Oct 2025.

If the demand is large enough, I look for MS to extend that date.
