No Internet access for Android subsystem

I have installed the Subsystem for Android, and It seems to be working --- except that I cannot access the internet with anything I am also able to sideload apk files into the subsystem which will launch, and run just not connect to the internet.

I have switched off the laptop firewall (Kasperky) but that doesnt help.

any suggestions on how I can resolve this fault - any suggestions welcome :)

I have seen that nobody responded to your question. You may have fixed it by now, but some posts I read on Reddit suggested to not use a VPN and must be configured to connect through the firewall or turn the firewall off., I see that you have turned off the firewall.
There were very few posts for this particular problem. If you have not found a fix maybe this will help. These are the posts I found on Reddit.
