It must completely disable the Edge browser. After I ran the script Edge would no longer open. I ran it again to remove the change.

I just checked, and Edge buts in and takes over when I search from the start menu. Crap! I need to do that in Windows 10 too.

just use revo uninstaller to remove edge.. works just fine

go to settings, search for shopping and uncheck all. settings sync to any edge you're signed into..

Ok... now it gets weird.

Aug 8 2020, (Win 10), I was trying to get rid of EDGE the 1st time (it broke Windows updates that time).
I managed to remove Edge, but during the removal, it put the Edge entry in Windows Apps in REVO free.
REVO free screenshots from before then, don't show Edge in the free REVO.

Then, even though I put EDGE back, I still had that EDGE entry in REVO free.

Then, comes Windows 11. I did an In-Place upgrade from Win 10 to Win 11. So...
...after the In-Place Upgrade, that Edge entry was still in REVO.


THEN, yesterday I removed Edge again ( on Win 10 and Win 11). This time it removed the EDGE entry from REVO.

Is anyone having issues with Edge ? All of a sudden it`s not opening the 3 webpages I have it set to open, even though they are still listed properly in Settings. And when I uncheck Get all Notifications on the main page, and close the window and reopen it again, the Get all Notifications is...

So... @The-Hive, may be right, that on normal Windows 10 or 11 install... Edge doesn't show in REVO free.
I have no way to tell anymore.

Anyone with REVO free... (and who never tried to remove EDGE before)... could check. :-)

That EDGE showing in the top REVO pic... is the OLD Edge, and it didn't appear there until I tried to remove the new EDGE Chromium. Back on August 8, 2020.

I may have had it there too. But I removed EDGE on Win 10 and on Win 11 yesterday via command line.

I'm gonna restore Win 11 for a Nov 22 backup and see what's what. It should take me about 3-4 minutes.

i can vouch on a clean install, if you use revo instead of cmd, and let it find all leftovers, it will remove it. i run only edge dev on my main build and removed edge stable via revou portable...
