No Widgets! (or option for widgets)

Hi there

I am running the release build. Updated today and I like it.

However, I have no access to widgets. It's not on the taskbar. When I go into the taskbar settings the widgets toggle is not there.

I followed the guide - Enable or Disable Widgets Feature in Windows 11

With no luck. I am running Win11 home. Can anyone help?? Totally lost.

Is it showing in personalisation - taskbar? If it is try turning off and on again.

Nope, the toggle isn't there at all.

It might turn up itself after a few reboots

Well, I certainly hope so! It's an annoyance, however, there is no way I'm going through the drama of a fresh install just for this..

You are not missing anything, the first thing I did is turn it off. It is just full of crap that you can easily look up if you are predisposed.

You could be right. However, I would like the option to come to my own decision. Guess it's still buggy!

Just because you guys don't find an app appealing doesn't mean it's useless for everyone, it simply means "you" don't use it

Anyway, I've not installed the RTM release yet, but on my Insiders Dev build, Widgets is working. BTW, you can also enable/disable via Taskbar settings as well.

I had no widgets when I was in the Dev, it may take some time as I think they are phase rolling that out as not everyone will want it, maybe testing it. Not sure, it will be here soon

22000.194, had the widgets earlier, but there was no option to 'Add Widgets' so far.
Suddenly, today I am getting the option to add widgets !

Probably a phased approach, not quite sure, Great you have it now

OK, now the widgets toggle and icon is there, but it doesn't do anything. What on earth is going on??

Hello! I had the same issue and find a fix. Not sure that the 2/3 steps are necessary, or in order or not:

1. I followed the instructions about the graphic card (fg2001 post)

2. I did all:
Reinstall Edge Webview2: Widgets board uses EdgeWebView2 to render content. If in case the same is crashing, you can try reinstalling the EdgeWebView2 component from here. Choose Standalone installer.

• Webview2 - Microsoft Edge Developer

Make sure all the apps, specifically the Web experience pack and else are updated in the Microsoft Store.

And now, widgets are working fine!
