Just discovered that Notes are now Sticky notes.
Have updated them to current version and would please like to know how, if possible, can I create a note that sticks to page etc that I am actually working on.

Sticky notes are "stuck" only on your desktop as long as the sticky note app is opened. But you can view all notes you have created on top of any Window when that window is in focus by opening sticky notes from start or taskbar.

You could use Simple Sticky Notes.
Freeware, nothing to do with signing in to MS accounts.
Just installed it on my testsystem: it automatically comes in my (NL) language and is very user friendly.
Within 1 minute I could see what you can do with it!
Although it probably was written somewhere in 2009, it was updated many times, last updated Sep 15, 2024.
If I would need such a program, i would use that one (still using a physical little notebook on my desk).

There certainly will exist more such programs, but this was the first one I met by searching the Internet with "sticky notes for windows".

BTW. I hate apps that demand logging in to a MS-account. Removed all the apps for which you should log in.

Edit: tested if the notes stay after a restart of windows: they do! Program starts automatically when Windows starts (can be set different).

My (mobile) 'Phone' is not always with me and not always switched on. Only when I am going out, I take it with me to know where and when trains and buses are departing and for tracing my (small) hikings. So there is no 'Phone' om my desk at all. At home I still have an old fashioned landline phone with DECT basestation, so I have handsets in almost every room in the house. No need for taking a 'Phone' with me. :-)
