Windows 11 Pro
So since I began using Windows 11 noticed a few times that when I try to click on a item or right click nothing happens, today for the second time I got sure that it was the widgets causing this, the left side of the screen is where the no responsive clicks happens, had a few files on the desktop scattered on both sides, when I tried to click on a folder that was to the left nothing happned...clicked on one to the right all good, back again to the left nothing, back to the right all good, clicked on widgets opened its paged closed it and I was able to click on whats to the left just fine, did this twice and the same thing on each time.

I'm guessing whenever it refreshes or some other reason is cuasing it to act as if it was open? hence why whatever is behind the widgets page cannot be clicked as if it was open when it's not.

And this happens even if I was browsing through files in the explorer and not necessarily only on the desktop.

I have seen that behavior as well when right-clicking is not registered on the left side of the display.

Widgets seem to have been implemented with little testing and are quite buggy.
For what it's worth, the problem can be temporarily remedied by using the command line:

tskill widgets <enter>

Does the command also kill the taskbar weather forecast or only the widget page?

THIS.

I just removed Widgets entirely. The Store has plenty of weather apps.

Not only do I not use Widgets....

I hung garlic around their necks, staked their hearts, left them out in the sunshine, shot them with silver bullets,
beat them with an ugly stick and took their lunch money. :D

I kilt the Widget Man. o_O

Still assembled, still runs. Haven't turned it on for 13 years?
Does the command also kill the taskbar weather forecast or only the widget page?
The entire widget set including the weather one. But the weather icon on the taskbar will remain as it seems to be cached.

Every few releases I check the Widgets functionality but so far it is always bug ridden and I remove it.

This replaced my Linux Notebook. I've used Windows since V2, tried various Linux distros but Windows continues to win for me.
