Notifications stopped working after latest updates - is there a fix?

These are Google calendar and YouTube notifications. I believe the sound is triggered but the notifications does not appear. I looked in settings to see if anything looked different or wrong and believe it is the same as before. Win11 Home

Press the Windows key +I
in Settings/System/Notifications/Notifications from apps and other senders
Toggle the Notifications you want turned on.

I don't have any notifications turned off and have never actively initiated Google Calendar alerts, other than choosing to be notified at a certain time prior to an event/appointment. Same with YouTube where I am able to select the option to be notified immediately when there is a new video.

Do you have a smart Android Phone?
If so, are Google Calendar, YouTube and Gmail Notifications turned on in the phone?

Rats. The settings for Google and Firefox are "on". At least I know how to check that now! Alas, I get the sound but not the notification, which always appeared in the bottom right of my screen. Is there a way to report this to Microsoft? It wasn't perfect (unable to move it out of the way to complete a task before clicking on notification link) but it worked. @Spunk , thanks for trying to help.

I don't have notifications for Gmail turned on. The only notifications that I've purposefully turned on are the two I mentioned. I do occasionally get a glimpse of a some app or maybe MS notifying me of something but often these disappear before I have a chance to read them, and I believe I've concluded that whatever I was in the process of doing at the time (typing? using mouse?) was enough to signal it to disappear. In those cases, it has troubled me that there is no "place" to find whatever it was so that I can read it. I recall searching a number of times hoping to find a way to control where the notifications appear. No such luck. These notifications were always a mystery to me and now more so since I now only get the sound!

I did successfully provide feedback, including, hopefully, having a Google Calendar alert play while recording. I'm not sure what shows up in such a process but I did try.
