Anyone know how to stop this?

Another member has this after the update. We worked out that it’s from partition software. Do you have any that starts with the PC?
The other member has Minitool.

Hey, fg2001gf11F, you’re not alone. So I assume there is in fact something in the update that messes up the analytic script that Minitools needs to fix. And possibly any other vendor that uses the script.

I would guess you could enter task schedular and disable this task. I would.

Open Search located on the taskbar (or Windows logo key + S)
Type "Task Scheduler" in the search bar and open the app.
Search for the Minitool updasteschecker scheduel and disable

Alternatively you could look in Minitools and tell it to NOT check for updates, this may also prevent the script error. if that is an option.

I don’t have that option in the Pro version so….

The problem started to show up a couple of weeks ago on my machines.
Perhaps something was changed in that googletagmanager.com site and the script they get from there is no longer working.
Minitool should not rely on a script from a web site. That is just asking for trouble.

Deleted from scheduler, now.

My main comp has Minitools installed as well but there is no scheduled task listed.

Same here, 12.8 Pro installed and no scheduled task listed .

The Minitool task in task scheduler is only there with the free version of MiniTool 12.8.
The pro version does not have that task in Task scheduler nor the updatechecher.exe in Program Files\MiniTool Partition Wizard 12.
Looks like they forgot to fix the problem on the free version and only fixed it partially on the pro version.
The suggestion from Minitool support is to delete both those 2 files if they are present, experience.exe and updatechecker.exe.
The pro version may have only experience.exe, and in that case just delete that one.

Until sussing out your profile to try and find some legitimacy of your username and support reply, I didn’t realise that MiniTools was a Canadian product. Apparently it is. Go Canada!

MiniTool Partition Wizard will do a 1M align natively on partitions when creating them.

That used to occur sometimes with applications running a basic vb or java type script somewhere. You might be missing some js stuff (no idea what though) . Try using another browser to see if the same thing happens.

I think this also happens if scripts or whatever are still using Active-X which has long been deprecated.
