From the picture, you can see the Notepad, the old one, is missing from the New menu. How can I add it? Preferably from a .bat script.

Now it's just not showing.

Programs do not appear there directly.
Rather what you're missing is New, Text document
If then Notepad is associated with .txt then that's what the new txt file you create should open in.

Now the relevant tutorial in elevenforum.com does not offer the means of restoring the txt option, but you can see the option here:

That should work.
