Opening Outlook

Hi Folks, when I get a Push Notification from here to my Outlook app, when clicked it, it causes rhe app to open in full screen plus the pop-up opens as in my image. Can it be changed?

Windows has never had native per application windowing setting (size and location of a program opening). Some applications handle it themselves while others may just open center screen etc.

Hi neemobeer. if I click the entry in the Inbox, the only one next to it opens.

Are you saying it opens the email program and the email in a popout window and what you want it to do is only open the email program with the email showing in the reading pane of the main program itself?

The old trick with some program windows used to be manually stretch the window to the full size (or as near thereas) without getting to the maximised size/equivalent, close and re-open. When this worked, there were 2 schools of thought ..
1) the Windows OS remembered the last size on close, and kept it at that
2) it was the program doing the remembering

And when it didn't work ... Meh!

The other option would be to try a 3rd party email client, like Thunderbird (freeware) and/or eMClient (freeware with up to 2 accounts).

When I get a notification from the Bell on the Taskbar,I normally ignore it, using it for reference only, then I click the Outlook App on the taskbar. The program opens full screen wher I select what to open.
