Opera has just promoted version 129 to stable!
Here’s what’s new and fixed in this update:
- Chromium upgrade: Opera now runs on Chromium 145.0.7632.117.
- Security updates: Chromium 0-day CVE-2026-3909 & CVE-2026-3910.
- Crash fixes: Multiple stability improvements across Mac, Windows, and Linux, including session restore, split-screen, content rules, and tab management.
- UI improvements:
- Fixed broken tab orders when opening bookmark folders.
- Adjusted hover and active colors in split-screen domain chips.
- Fixed tab bar, address bar, and top bar display issues on macOS.
- Sidebar & services:
- Fixed Instagram, Deezer, and Google Meet panel issues.
- Enabled #gemini-in-sidebar and #google-translate-in-sidebar for all users.
- Split-screen enhancements:
- Prevented split-screen with detached Google Meet.
- Fixed crashes when closing last tab in split-screen.
- Improved recently closed for split screen behavior.
