Anyone tried going back from 11 to 10?
Setting that tpm requirements wedding go down or even if than it would be 1.2, I thought about going back to 10 on one of my notebooks that doesn't have tpm at all.

Restoring ended with "operating system not found" and question is if anyone was in the same place as me run?
Can I use 10 ISO or should I go with 11 to make it bootable again (if it is possible...)?

How did you restore your Windows 10? Is it possible you moved to GPT and UEFI booting to try to get Windows 11 to work, and your previous Windows 10 was MBR and booting in legacy BIOS mode?

Used Windows update. There is option to restore to previous compilation.

Already had gpt on Win10, so before 11. So that shouldn't be a problem if Windows didn't, dunno why, tried to restore gpt as MBR.

Do you have a Windows 10 installation USB flash drive created that you can boot the computer from? You can try running start-up repair from it.

As always with these things - Image your system - there's plenty of free tools around - Macrium Free is the one most on these Forums use but there are others. You can also make the stand alone bootable recovery version so you can even do a bare metal restore of your previous OS.

I'd always go for these "Manual" backups using Macrium etc than rely on any Ms one that runs from within Windows itself - especially if Windows gets broken.

Why in the world don't people just image their systems before doing an upgrade that they might not like / fails to work properly. Thse days with decent hardware and fast disks - shouldn't take more than 15 - 20 mins at the most.

Cheers

Don't use this device was my main one, so didn't want to lose additional time to make a backup, but still wanted to feel Win11 on it
Thought I'll stay, but then thought about going back to 10. And as 11 is still an update to 10 (even build number says so), I thought that "restore to previous build" will work as it worked before ;(

Experienced most of your problems! But my latest might help. I also decided to revert back to win 10 so used Macrium to put my last win 10 image back. All went OK except after a very short time I saw it was 40% into downloading win 11!! I hurriedly unplugged my ethernet cable while I thought about it. I rebooted, still with the ethernet cable out, and much to my great surprise, it was running win 11! How that happened when it hadn't fully downloaded the win 11 update I have no idea.

I then admitted defeat and re-imaged it with my latest win 11 image. So much for that exercise.

Now I am biding my time but facing the fact I will have to clean install win 10 when/if I get to the stage where MS stops allowing win 11 on a comp that doesn't meet their specs.

It is possible to roll back to Windows 10

To do so, I first selected update settings to stop receiving insider builds
I then logged in to Windows insider site to select leaving the program

Downloaded Win 10 iso file on usb key

Started pc running Win 11, pluggeg usb key to have Windows installation program start the process

Message was displayed that nothing could be saved, apps and programs, but in my case learned years ago that C drive is only for Windows, programs and files to save on extra internal or external drive

All went well, only hope that when the update is offered oct 5th I will have the option to refuse it

Did it on Galaxy notebook and Alienware gaming laptop. Only had one unexpected issue, I play games with xbox game pass and downloaded games were wiped out even if they were on drive other then C

I want to roll back on my gaming tower but will have to decide if I keep xbox game pass before doing so

My reason to roll back : Microsoft have said that Intel cpu's of 7th generation did not qualify because Win 11 would slow the system, I expect it will slow all systems

An article just came out supporting my suspicion :
