After reading through this entire thread, I've read "TWICE" where someone will say that they would like to run Win-11 on their old PC, but it's not compatible. Where have you guys been? For months we've been discussing how to fix Win-11 at the ISO level, so it will install on just about any OLD PC out there, as long as it's capable of running a 64 bit OS. I've done it over 20 times already!
OK, for the forgetful, or the nubes, let me give you the condensed version, one more time:
1 Download the Win-11/Pro/64 ISO from any trusted source. Not necessarily from MS. Also download the latest ver. of "Rufus". (the best program to burn an ISO to a flash drive.)
2 Using Rufus, burn the ISO to a Flash Drive of suitable size, accepting all the options in the Rufus Options Menu.
3 Now boot up your PC, where you want to run Win-11, with the Flash Drive you just made with Rufus, and proceed with the easiest install you ever did.
Now boot up your PC, and tweak and tune to your hearts content. Or not! I do, because Brink has given us some Great Tweaks, that smooth out some of the wrinkles.
Congratulations! You've now got the sweetest OS since DOS 6.22.
