I'd have to say, I wouldn't buy one. I work with graphics and video all the time and the thought of it doesn't sit well. I'd have to be physically proven wrong (like bashed into submission.) I agree with your distortion theory.

For me, I rather have 34-inches or smaller with a higher refresh rate, for my next OLED.

I noticed that they came down in price, lower prices and higher availability than in 2023.

Yup, been breaking out the credit card! Hifiman have got their heads around how to make Planar headphones. These are great for classical music. Now got 3 different sounding pairs of open-backed phones. The others are Sennheiser HD 600 (had those for a while) and a pair of Beyerdynamics DT 990's. Rest of the audio stack is a Cambridge Audio DACMAGIC200M, and a Topping L50 amplifier. Also been making sure to buy good quality interconnects to use between components.

Rant....

I just bought some new power cords and XLR cables, but on my last order (power cord and XLR connects) from Japan I got trumped over with a tariff bill for $330 dollars!!! The cables came from Japan (manufactured there) where they're basically half the price ($250 a piece) sold in the states.

Ironically a month earlier I got basically the same items from the same place, but escaped the tariffs (don't think they were in effect yet). Not so lucky this time. Still pretty pissed and seriously thought about not paying the tariff and just letting DHL send them back to the vendor where I would have requested a refund, but because I've heard what they can can do for my system I begrudgingly paid the ramson :ffs:

If you're a U.S. resident buying from overseas, think twice now as those tariffs can be a shocker and there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason where the size of the bill is concerned. BTW, included in the bill is an "administrative" fee. For me $17 of the $330 dollars. What a scam.

I live in New Zealand, because of our low exchange rate all audio stuff is expensive and some bits and pieces hard to get. Like XLR interconnects for use between my DAC and Headphone amplifier. Trump slapped tariffs on New Zealand as well, not sure how much that will bump up prices of computers and audio yet though.
