The last thing I purchased was for a hobby. A high grade security camera with an extra large sensor, 4K resolution, 0.0005 Lux rating, 2.8mm lens.. all to watch the sky.

I catch between 3 and 10 meteors per week on this camera.. And the number of satellites this camera can see is just staggering. An hour after sunset, just in the area of the sky the camera is looking at (105 degree field of view), I can count 8 to 10 satellites at a time (in the same frame) going different directions.
In one hour of viewing, over 250 satellites.

Caught this meteor a few nights ago.. Not a great one, but enough. Not bad for an un-cooled off-the-shelf IP Security camera.

Just bought my wife's Christmas present. Got an email from Google saying Black Friday starts today.

She keeps up with the latest Pixel phones and really got into Pixel LTE watches.

I bought her a Pixel 4 LTE watch and a quick charge dock for the watch. Watch was $100 less than posted price.

My wife is the exact opposite of your wife. She doesn't like smart watches (though she uses her Fitbit when we are out walking or when she is exercising) and doesnt' keep up with the latest phones. She still likes wearing the Movado watch I gave her for our anniversary and still holding on to iPhone 11 I gave her years ago.

But yesterday I got her a new Nespresso Machine. She likes lattes in the morning.

Today I purchased a (early Christmas present for me): Navimow H3000N 8.3 in. Robot Lawn Mower with Smart App Control, Visual Obstacle Avoidance, and Multi-Zone Management
from Home Depot.
This AM they were +$400.00 more (@ Amazon) but now I just checked & they had them for the same price as HD.

Edit: Well we live & learn. The delivery of my new 'Toy' is 2 days late & I received a update from UPS (the shipper):

A hazardous materials irregularity occurred with this package. We'll contact the sender with additional information."

Even though I want to shop locally when not much difference in cost.
Now I am regretting not ordering the mower from Amazon as they said I would receive it on Wednesday also.

The software is awful to get running (there's tons of complaints on line) but after quite a few reinstalls and Revo as well as registry editing it finally fired up. My son who has a Razer laptop said it installed first time for him. Anyway, all's well that ends well.
