I just recently decided to get this.

Normally I have a bucket out back that I burn all sensitive documents.

My Wife has had 2 strokes & she is in/out of the hospital. Now, anytime you check out of a hospital/nursing facility, you get a HUGE crapload of paperwork with all kinds of sensitive info on it, everything from diagnosis to listing of all tests & drugs. Even when she gets home nursing, the pile for that is huge by the time the nursing period is over. The resulting stack would make for a great bonfire, but I can't burn that much & it takes forever, so I decided to go with this for that purpose. I'd prefer smaller cuts myself, but my tin foil hat doesn't seem to be sparking so hopefully this works.

It was either this or risk burning the house down/having the fire dept show up, neither of which I want.

I still burn certain things that come in the mail though, like credit card statements

Very true. I just went high end. I probably could have bought the $120 ones and saved my hide, but hey, you only live once right?

Jealous, envious, frustrated and depressed. I want one bad, but it would cut into my shoe budget. I have to settle for a 5070 Ti.

Comes with Win 11 pro. The CPU is a mobile chip (laptop) and the 32 GB DDR5 ram is a single module to save on cost.

Ryzen does better with dual channel ram tho?

Seems odd to do a single stick. Leaving performance on the table.

I also would not trust those units personally. While they have not been found to have malware deployed at factory, (yet) their sister brands have.

Lots of mini pc's made in the same warehouse were found to be shipped with malware out of the box before.

Otherwise I do agree they are nice little machines. Built pretty nicely too.

I've had good luck with a Monoprice Docking Station so I purchased another with more ports.
I really don't need several of them on this new docking station but its nice to have a Ethernet & plenty of USB-A & a USB-C PD 3.0 (bi-directional) port too.
Amazon had them for less $$ than the Monoprice website.

I was going to get the Wurkkos TS32 12000 Lumens, but this torch is cool.
Need torches at my place, you're quite likely to step outside at night and stand on an Eastern Brown (nice knowing you) or Red Belly Black Snake, before long.
I bought a really good one (Just died) after thinking a snake was our garden hose, in the dark 18 years ago. A few hundred snakes later...
