Outlook 2021 randomly fails to open (after W11 update to latest DEV version )

Hi folks
sometimes Outlook (from Office Pro LTSC 2021) just doesn't start properly after using it once on the latest version of DEV Win 11. I can get it to start again by ctrl-delete and cancelling outlook,exe and then opening it again but shouldn't have to do this, I'm not sure whether playing around with Containers, WSL, Visual studio (community edition) etc on my machine hosed the thing up with all the stuff I installed (add ons etc to the Visual studio app) but these shouldn't effect Office which has run perfectly for ages.

OK I shoulld have created another instance of Windows for testing some of this extra stuff I'm testing but if you've got a perfectly capable decent set of hardware Ms Office shouldn't break by merely using another piece of Ms supplied software !!!!!!!

Have you checked windows for potential issues (SFC, DISM etc) Have you tried a Office repair?

I decided to re-install W11 after all that messing about with containers and huge amounts of stuff being added with Visual composer (community edition). - All OK now.

Next time I'm playing around with WSL, containers and the like I'll do that on a separate test windows --it's easy to have loads now when using physical vhdx files - all legit so long as they aren't "concurrently run" under 1 windows license.

I needed the insiders build to test out some of the new capabilities of containers etc -- that's what its there for --testing !!!!!

As I'm using IMAP for email there wasn't any danger of email actually getting lost !!! - it's a bit pointless to have a separate VM just for email and Office !!!! although can mnake sense if you want different languages - easier and less messy than having the whole lot on sa single version of Windows.

I agree one shouldn't use insider builds for production or other critical mission stuff - but it's surely reasonable that stable applications that have been running for years and are still not in EOL status should continue to work on whatever (current including test / developer) versions of Windows you are running them on.
