Outlook for Android : attachments not synced

Hello,

on my Android Outlook app, some mails don't sync attachment. Not all. I sync mails as IMAP.

Actually, these mails have attachments in my inbox webmail (it's a mail account with my personal web hosting OVH).

On my PC with thunderbird, these attachments are correctly synced.

I flushed Outlook app cache in Android settings, without success.

Is there a way to resync mail without need to resinstall app ?

Don't say me it's yet another Outlook bug 🙃

  • Removing the email address and re-adding it may or may not help.
    • The email is setup as IMAP so it should only take a minute.

  • You could try to Reset Account:
    • In the Outlook app, go to Settings > Account > Reset Account.


Other than that, here are some generic mentions

  • Verify Sync Settings:
    • In the Outlook app, go to Settings > Accounts > select your account.
    • Ensure "Sync Email," "Sync Calendar," and "Sync Contacts" are enabled.
    • If using Exchange ActiveSync, ensure the correct account type is selected for full syncing capabilities.
  • Check Permissions:
    • In your Android device's settings, go to Apps > Outlook > Permissions.
    • Ensure Calendar and Contacts permissions are enabled.
  • Clear Cache and Data: - You said you tried this.
    • Go to Android Settings > Apps > Outlook > Storage.
    • Try "Clear Cache" first, and if needed, "Clear Data" (note: clearing data may require re-signing in).

What is your mobile data settings? It might prevent large files due to restrictions, like Data Saver.

It partially helped me. More attachments sync well now, but not all.

I will try your other suggestions. Thank you.

Tairiku, no restrictions with mobile data in my phone network settings.
