Out of interest, when you drag/dropthem, what are the default filenames for identifying what email it is? Subject line?

For the most part, yes. Some Forwarded or Reference items get a different title.

It also depends on the Client...,
eM Client saves a drag n drop as a .eml, Outlook saves them as .msg

OK thanks mate. My wife does it but she showed me a folder once and I just said “I don’t wanna know” lol

Good to know, thanks Edwin. (Because if I asked her, she’d have finished explaining to me what she’s doing, 7 hours later)
In all my years, I’ve never dragged or saved an IMAP email.

One last question, can they be reloaded into a new eM client setup to stay in there permanently, or only to be read from their location?

I've never gone that route but it's doable..., I just view individual items, in a separate window, from my Drag N Drop Mail folder..., mostly receipts and such.

IMAP / POP support in the new Outlook for Windows.

Over the past few months, our team has been working hard to ensure that every person with a PC can use the new Outlook on Windows for free. Until now, that has encompassed users with personal Microsoft accounts or accounts from major email providers including Gmail, Yahoo, and iCloud. But we also know that a wide variety of users also have IMAP accounts or POP accounts.

Recently, we finalized changes to help make sure that customers who had IMAP accounts can use the new Outlook for Windows. In addition, we are currently rolling out support for POP accounts and anticipate being done with that rollout in the coming weeks.
