Outlook (Office 2021 LTSC) stop auto sync for each mailbox - Solved Now

Hi folks
Seems really annoying now - every time I read / send the Outlook program spends time on "syncing" the mailbox and on send after "syncing" then does a further "preparing to send". This all adds time to the process of writing and receiving emails.

I don't know what I did but I've got another machine with the same version of Office and accounts and it doesn't do this !!!

Is there anyway to stop this - either via a reg key or by some "magical settings". None of the mail servers I use have changed !!!.

Found this -- seems to fix the problem.

This seems to work :

against the account name right mouse click and select IMAP folders

then check this box : and restart outlook. Much better !!!!

A common work around for Outlook syncing problems. The slow sync issues with Outlook have been around for some since Moses. That setting window looks different. Another “improvement” by Microsoft I assume

This is especially bad when your IMAP folder is large, can age you just waiting, Jim.
