Outlook with Gmail on Office 2021 vs 2024

Hi folks
Using Outlook 2021 with a gmail IMAP account works perfectly. On Outlook 2024 loads of the gmail stuff is replicated into the "Important" folder and have to be manually moved to the wastebin.

Staying with Office 2021 until it doesn't work any more. !!! -- Also Publisher is still available -- it's still a decent program. Not on or removed from Office 2024.

I can't really see any need for the subscription Office/365. There might be marginal improvements to EXCEL but as a power user I don't have any problems doing what I need to do.

I have both stand alone office 2021 and 2024 (LTSC versions) on DVD's from work so installed from the DVD not via Click to run / online.
Trying each version in a different VM I've definitely come to the concluston to stick with Office 2021 LTSC - Ms have said that there will be at least one more stand alone version of office to come out - so I'll wait until that happens.

I'm afraid to ask... What will happen if you just delete the "important" folder? Will you lose all your mail? Will Outlook throw some error about not finding the folder? Alternatively, you could create a rule to move every email from important folder to trash or delete it automatically.

Can't!
I just Hide it in Gmail Web and uncheck Show in IMAP.
Can't do the same for All Mail though, else eM Client won't sync!
(I don't do Outlook!!!)
