By clicking choose another app Paint3d is not there

I also tried uninstalling it and installing it again, but nothing.
I use Windows 11 Pro

Some advice ?

I haven't used it but just checked and rather than opening it's getting an update. Have you looked at the options for it in Settings and Apps?

Update just finished, no apparent issues.

I don't have it anymore either. I really don't remember if I uninstalled it or if it disappeared as I never used it. You can get it from the windows store.

The program works correctly.
and only the item in the right-click menu in the open with section disappeared
I do not understand why.
I also tried uninstalling it and installing it again but the entry didn't go away.
If I click Choose another app I have to indicate the exact path where the Paint3D .exe is located but I don't know where exactly Paint3D is located
:(

It's not Paint3d.exe and there is no folder with that name.
It is there however;

C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.MSPaint_6.2405.19017.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\PaintStudio.View.exe

I used Win+S to find and launch Paint 3D. There was a delay while the app updated. It's now available when I right-click on any image file.

I lost the option to right-click on the desktop to select "New...Text Document" but it returned as soon as I had manually launched Notepad.

Try WIN+S 'Paint 3D' to launch the app and see if it updates.

I had no issue associating it with Paint3D but it does not say Paint3d, it says PaintStudioView.exe
It opens the .png directly if I want it though.

Yes, you are right. Apparently, MS does not want us to use this app anymore.
Even by putting a shortcut in 'Send to' folder, it does not show.

A bit dramatic me think.

I have relatively new 6-mo. Win11 Home Notebook that now doesn't have Paint 3D but my 2-yr Win11 Pro Desktop still has Paint 3D. Both are the RTM/fully released.

UPDATE: I'm now on an HP Envy Notebook from 2014 with Unsupported Win11 Home and has Paint 3D, now updating.

It was a strange thing.
On my second computer also with Windows 11 Pro and Paint3D there is an open with menu item.
I don't understand why it disappeared so suddenly on my main computer and can't be inserted anymore.

I also inserted the Paint3d .exe file
or this: PaintStudio.View.exe
it also creates the item in the menu but when I go to open a file instead of exiting the image I want a blank sheet.

Have a look at this,
Redirecting

Shows how to install an older version that works. You'll need to turn off auto updating in Store though it will re-install the newer version at some time if you don't catch it. All you need to do then is just reinstall the old version again. Takes a few seconds.

PS, you'll need to keep giving it permission to download, about three times 🤷‍♂️

Thank you very much, now it works again :-) but I haven't solved it completely

I solved it with version 6.2310.24037.0
is the icon and appears again in the menu

However, it is updated every time from the Microsoft Store to the latest version 6.2405.19017.0
and the icon disappears again. :eek1::oops:

As I posted, just run the installer again (over the top) and stop Store from auto updating. Also cancel the update download if you catch it.
There's no other way unfortunately at least running the installer again (over the top) is quick and easy.
