Can someone explain what's going on w/ Paypal and Windows Security please?

For years now i've been happily using Bitwarden as 2FA. all of a sudden now, i log onto Paypal and instead of the 2FA screen i get WIndows Security asking to set up a passkey - forcing, actually, since i only get Continue or Cancel. if i cancel a coupel times, it seems to let me into Paypal w/out the 2FA, which seems a huge security issue.

how do i go back to 2FA and stop this Windows pop-up intrusion??

TIA

Yeah, everyone is excited about passkeys, so webpages force people to use them.
If you remove your current device and a cookie, it should ask for 2FA properly.
Make sure to uncheck to remember the device, it should ask each time.

Yes, passkeys turn 2FA into 1FA, yet they call it more secure, how dumb can they get?!
I would love to login to 11 using 2FA, but MS prevents it and forces an insecure passkey.

Passkeys include 2FA by default.

What's insecure about a passkey?
