Hello, Please help I am really stuck and dont know what to do.

I have been having issues with Windows 11 since it got updated from windows 10 and i am really not happy about it.

The problem occurs when I restart the computer like for installing updates. Last update did not install properly so the system rolled back the update and I could log back to windows. But latest update did not roll back at tall! Luckily I was able to go back to previous system restore point which I had activated thankfully.

Now I did not restart , the problem is that the pc does not come back from hibernation , it takes forever ( the white circle keeps rolling super slow at boot and after a while I get BSOD with QR code. I scanned it but it took me to this general page.

1stly I would like to know if anyone else is encountering this nefarious problem .
2ndly I would need to know it its possible to run the V2 log collector from a USB drive and from command line, since I cant boot into Windows and I can only open the command line. As I mentioned I cant go to restore point, since when I select the restore point the "next" button is greyed out and I cant continue the process from the restore point window at the Troubleshoot section .
3rdly This whole thing would have not happened if I had not been almost "forced" to update to windows 11, windows 10 was working just fine , but Microsoft seems to be messing up its users lives quite often with really tedious bugs.

Thanks for the help in advance

Hi, and welcome to the forum. I can't answer your question about running V2 log collector from usb drive as I'm not a BSOD expert. Until @zbook or one of the others jumps in to offer their advice, I was wondering if you can use recovery options (Hold down shift key while booting) to see if you can get Windows to run in safe mode. Once in recovery Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart.
After your device restarts, you'll see a list of options. Select option 4 from the list or press F4 for Safe Mode
Note: Safe Mode with networking only works if your device has ethernet. Wireless does not work in safe Mode.
Once your device is restarted it will boot back into normal boot.

Note: If you’ve encrypted your device, you’ll need your BitLocker key to start in safe mode. Most modern standby devices have device encryption automatically enabled. If you do not know your key it is stored in your Microsoft account. You can find it here Sign in to your account

I recommend keeping a copy of this key in a safe place for when you have future need of it.

The most efficient method to get back to a working windows computer is a custom install.

A custom install is designed to install a fresh version of Windows and save files to Windows.old.

Drivers and applications need to be reinstalled.

Important files are restored from Windows.old.

An alternative is to manually backup files and clean install Windows.

1) First test the disk drive.

2) Find two flash drives that you can format or repurpose the first flash drive after completing the drive test.

3) Find a working Windows computer.

4) On the working Windows computer create tools that you can use on the problematic computer.

5) Create a bootable Sea Tools flash drive:

6) Run the Sea Tools Long Generic test > take pictures > post images or share links into this thread using one drive, drop box, or google drive

7) Create a bootable Windows Media Creation Tool (MCT) (Windows 11 iso)

8) Perform a custom install Windows 11:

9) Install drivers displayed on the computer, motherboard, or component manufacturer websites

10) Install applications

11) Restore important files from Windows.old:

Hello and thank you for your answer.

I have tried entering into that menu and selecting Safe Mode, but it gives an error. and let me tell you i was able to get into that menu once only since the BSDO happened. Is as if Windows 11 is inconsistently allowing me to get into that menu. I really find this very annoying and very rude towards the user.

So I am really stuck and the option of doing a reset and keeping the old files is not really a good option since I have had to do that many times before and that is why I activated the Recovery points System restore option , but it appears it too is buggy.

I am sorry that I did not use a third party recovery image creator tool , as it seems that Windows has become so unreliable in helping its users recover from these BSDO with a zero purpose QR code that leads to a general page with no solution in sight.

I remember back in the old the times of Windows 3 , this was like almost normal to get BSOD . and to see that more than 20 years later this is still going on, is nothing more than provocative.

I hope that @zbook can help with providing more info about V2 log collector .

Best regards

Thank you but the steps you provide I dont find them helpful. You are telling to do a reset and that is not a valid solution. I appreciate your intention to help anyways. Many thanks

When available post images or share links displaying the drive test results.

Another option is to manually backup important files then clean install Windows 11.
