Hi guys,

Sorry if this is a newbie question, but i like to have my desktop clean, without anything. In Windows 10 i knew how to do it, but in 11 i don't know!

So, is is possible to pin Recycle Bin or any Folder to Taskbar, and if so, how to do it? I know i can pin any app.

I can't find the way! I did a fresh install Windows 11 ISO file (21996.1.210529-1541.co_release_CLIENT_CONSUMER_x64FRE_en-us.iso) on my MSI GE-60 2PE from 2014 without TPM module, but with Secure Boot UEFI. Used Windows MediaCreationTool21H1 to download Windows 10, then replaced the Windows 10 install.win for Windows 11.

For now, didn't have any problem or bug at all, and i'm loving this new Windows 11 version, fast and very smooth on my SSD.

Thanks.

Create a New shortcut somewhere using %SystemRoot%\explorer.exe shell:RecycleBinFolder
name it what you will, browse for a suitable icon if you want, right click it>Pin to Taskbar.

Thank you for your help, but i want to make it the same way as in Windows 10.

I want to know when Recycle Bin is full or empty, and when i see is full, there is an empty Bin option when i right click the icon.

Thanks anyway.

Pin to Quick Access in File Explorer... but of course you'll have to have a window open continuously...

Hello, :)

This below should still be the same in Windows 11.

HI,
I tryed that but doesn't work on windows 11 because the Taskbar is blocked, when we right click with mouse on Taskbar the all thing we can do is Taskbar settings. Nothing else.

In windows 10 it's working.
I will try again later.

Thanks.

Doh. I forgot it using a toolbar to add the Recycle Bin. Of course toolbars have been removed in W11. :(

there is always Actual Monitor Tools... but then again you wont have the default 11 taskbar anymore.... it will look more like 10's. depends how bad you want the recycle bin..

I'll be watching this thread closely as I prefer my desktop clean and my recycle bin in the taskbar. Not sure if this works. I can't test it out. However, I found this link:

It does put the recycle bin on the taskbar, but the icon doesn't change when files are put in it or removed from it, we need a better solution.

I'm sorry, I don't know how the recycle bin behaves in MacOS.
Just the way it does on the regular windows desktop, should show empty or full.

That's how it works in MacOS... sits on the taskbar and shows empty or full, and you can right click to empty, open the trash folder, etc... Would be nice to have in Win 11, but I don't know of any way to do it.
