Solved Power plans seem to contradict.


i think it runs as fast as it can under the conditions it has. Probably using turbo boost. I am not an expert on how Intel does it

I prefer to run balanced as CPU doesn't need to be running max all the time

Turbo Boost is only when it's using a single core. Multi-core is 3.9Ghz per the link in my last response above.

I figured out why my CPU was not running at the 100% because it appears that when I did the repair in-place install of 22000.100 when I wrote that, it deleted the registry key to disable S0 modern standby and use S3 sleep mode so it was not showing any of the power plans beyond Dell and Balanced and my cloned modded Ultimate Power Plan, all is good now after I added the registry key back and rebooted.
