Problem: Links are not working in Firefox and Chrome

I noticed this problem today when I tried to end a Google Meets meeting. I could not end the call. The "End" button would not work. I had to close Google mail to end the call. I have since found the same problem with Firefox. Some buttons on web pages do not work anymore. I have to close Firefox and open it again to get the buttons to work. It's weird because it was working fine on Friday.

Anyone else having this problem? Or is it just me?

Do you have extensions installed in the browsers and which ones? Lots of 'security extensions' that will break functionality such as 'noscript' in Firefox

No problems here in either browser.
Clear both browsers' cache, close and reopen browser. See if that makes a difference. As was suggested, disable extensions to see if that resolves problem, too.

Edge-3 dots>settings>privacy search & services>clear browsing data now>select all time
FF- hamburger icon>settings>privacy & seurity>cookies & site data>clear data

I cleared the caches and restarted the apps, and rebooted. The problem seems to be gone now, but it comes back every so often during the day.

It's like the buttons on a website just stop working completely. I am befuddled.

Oh, and I have no extensions installed in either browser.
