Even though the DVDs are new, they could be defective. I've had more than my share of bad DVDs. Especially with multiple DVD sets. It also could be that they are for playing in a different region or format. If you're in the US, they should be in the NTSC format and be Region 1. It should say somewhere on the DVD cases. Its a dvd. Ive no idea if its s mode, but every time i put in another dvd , microsoft store pops up so maybe it is?
I cant remember where i got vlc from...how can i check?
This is all going over my head. I cant believe so many of my dvds wont work and why they are different to the ones that do work.
I just wanted to be able to shove in a dvd and watch it without the bruhaha!
