Not exactly a promotion as you don't get any extra responsibilities. More of an ostentatious or vainglory thing (for want of a better word). At least you can now see why you are getting likes. In the old forums, you could not see when you were getting likes, and that was quite opaque.
Ha ha if you are spending too much time, you have another 10 years to go .... that could be a bug thing or an update kinda thing as I feel MS changing things takes up my time. Anyways there is no shame in showing off what you know other than you don't get paid for it.
