Question How to switch on / off display to save power?

Thank you very much for the links and explanations.

OK, everything - so to say - is fine so far.

Could one after pressing ALT+Tab instead of being showed those resized (big) images of the open programs let Win just display the icons of those programs? So - I assume - it would be much more faster / easier to identify that program one wanted to switch to. And may be all of those programs would be shown in a single window so that one had not to scroll down, up.

I don't know how to change what's displayed.
Alt-tab & WinKey-tab are the only choices I've ever been aware of.

Or you could just click on one of them in the Taskbar. That seems to me to be more convenient than either Alt-tab or WinKey-tab.

Yes, if the icons entirely fit on the bar, else there are these small up / down arrows shown to be clicked to show the missing programs.

Thank you very much!

You could add virtual desktops and put the programs for group of work tasks on each one.
Add New Virtual Desktops - ElevenForumTutorials
The option to switch to or add a new desktop is on the Taskbar by default and appears when WinKey-Tab is used as well.
- So I have just been using one desktop for my MSOffice Outlook with my TenForums + ElevenForum inboxes together with some open File explorer windows related to the threads I've been posting in and another desktop for the video & audio files I've just been editing.
- Used this way, you can switch from 'job' to 'job' and only see the relevant job's Taskbar entries and hence avoid the Taskbar up/down arrows.
Just a thought.

All the best,
Denis
