Question on custom context menu entries after update

Hey All,
I have some custom entries in the context menu and after upgrading from 26200.8521 to 26200.8875 and now 26200.8973 the sub menus return the error in DOpus "This file does not have an app associated with it for performing this action".
The menus worked fine in 26200.8521 and right when it updated to 26200.8875 it came back with that error, I figured I am in this deep let me try 26200.8973 and same error.

I should mention that File Explorer has no issues running the menus regardless of the winver that I am using. Contacted GP Software and they said my menu worked fine on their system using my file. So anyone have any idea on what to check as the upgrade caused the issue as I can back out and it works fine again?

So rewrote the registry code and got it working on both File Explorer and DOpus,

So why would it fail on the first example but not on the second when they have the same commands?

The error message means .txt file extension not associated with any app.

To change the .txt file association in Windows, use the Open With menu, the Settings app, or the Control Panel
  • Right-click any .txt file.
  • Select Open with and click Choose another app (or Choose another app / More apps).
  • Pick your preferred text editor (like Notepad or Notepad++) from the list.
  • Check the box that says Always use this app to open .txt files.
  • Click OK or Just once / Always

    • Go to Apps, then click Default apps.
    • Scroll down and click Choose default by file type (or type .txt in the search box).
    • Click the current program next to .txt and select your new preferred app.

But .txt is associated with a program, My default is 010Editor. That is why I am really baffled as the error I am getting is not correct.

If there was no program associated then it would fail in File Explorer as well correct?

The file name with a .txt extension will have the icon of 010Editor since that is set as the default.

I switched default to each program in the menu and all had the same error, File association would not explain why I can change the location of the menu code in the registry and it works fine.
