Recover old account.

By the problem of one drive app. I make a new account. But I rename my old account to name.old
In my old account I make soms change for example delete Dutch keyboard layout. Love documents to d: user and my name.
Is there a possibility to get the settings I make back. Or something els so that when it have you delete the account in the future and make a new account. So that I not have to delete the keyboard layout and reconfigure my personal settings

If you had issues with onedrive, there is a specific procedure for dealing with it to preserve your user data and settings and renaming the old user account account was not it. You will have to set up account settings again in the new account.

As for your user files, Copy the files from name.old to a flash drive. DO NOT COPY THEM DIRECTLY INTO THE NEW ACCOUNT. It will create permission issues. If you can not access the files to copy them, your only way of accessing them will be to boot from a live Linux distro where you can access the files to copy them to external media. Then copy files from the flash drive into the new local account.
