I'm running on a 4K screen with a high DPI mouse (M305). My mouse pad is VERY slick. When I click, the mouse tends to move a little. This causes my click to appear like a drag to Windows.

I know I can reduce the sensitivity on the mouse, but then it takes several strokes to get my mouse across the screen.

Is there any way to increase the amount of movement I need to do before Windows considers my click a drag action?

Yeah, That's a tough one, The easy answers are get a textured mouse pad so it is less likely to move, or lower the DPI, I have 3 screens and cant get across them with one swipe, without using silly DPI that ruins doing anything else.

If you can drop the polling rate that "might" help by asking the mouse to update less often, but I doubt it.

Sorry I don't have a golden bullet on this one, hopefully someone can drop ion with something, I have not found a way.

@Calab

One of the best things I ever bought is this piece of leather for my keyboard tray...

Smooth as a baby's butt, and just enough friction to prevent click-slide.
Don't mind the mess... I bought the leather in early 2022.

    Still assembled, still runs. Haven't turned it on for 15 years?
