Remote Desktop Log Off

When connecting to another computer with Remote Desktop it logs the computer off, is there a way to prevent it?

I don't believe so, Windows doesn't offer the capability to have two simultaneous users connected. You can use a 3rd party remote desktop application like TeamViewer and have local and remote access.

I was using AnyDesk but they started using a popup that had a timer that I had to wait on and it kept getting longer and longer to try and get me to buy the paid version.

Client versions of Windows are licensed for a single login session hence the local log out. gunrunnerjohon is correct in that it is recommended to use a 3rd party remote solution

We use RDP Wrapper. It allows multiple concurrent Remote Desktop connections. It's a little hard to set up but it works good.

RDP Wrapper was last updated in 2017, so I have to wonder if you'll run into issues with Win11...
