You're reading a blog published in 2004.

MS's version of JVM was removed from public release, after Sun (now Oracle) sued them. You can run Oracle's native JVM, or MS's release of the OpenJDK. Considering it's been gone since 2003, W11 never had this software to begin with.

Never has it unless you install it! As you can see it is installed in my win11.....
Now it just will not uninstall

It was installed by a mistake when I was installing MS virtual studio 6!!!

I don't make up stories, you can clearly see it is showing up in the win 11 apps on my PC.

So yeah, of course I will try various things to make it go away.... even blogs from 2004

People are so obtuse...

it also is not a virtual installation of 11, it was moved here.
I suppose can follow the old blog and manually delete files
This app entry though, how can you get rid of it?

I'm gonna guess this JVM was installed by your failed VB6 attempts...

Everything is no longer a fail, vb6 is working and I got rid of the JVM using REVO thanks to Ghot for that .

and here is how to install on 11

In the vb6 setupwi.ini file, simply set the jvm to nothing and JVM wont be installed. set VmPath=

[setup wizard]
eula = eula.txt
NTSP = NTsp3\nt4sp3_i.exe
NTSpMinVer = 3
IE4 = ie4\ie4setup.exe
CommonFilesMin = 50
IEIni=ie4check.ini

pid = setup.ini

AcmeId = vs98ecd1.inf
STF = setup\vs98ent.stf
