Is there any way to remove shortcut arrows in the latest version of Windows 11 (fully updated)?

I have tried Winaero (it works for a few seconds, then the arrows reappear), regedit, and Brink's method, but nothing works.

Has this function been disabled by Microsoft?

If you did it manually already and can’t get it to work, try winaero tweaker (you can run as portable) and see if the automation gets it working correctly

Tried all methods again-following instructions exactly- once again arrows removed for a few seconds then reappear.
Thanks to all for advice will just put up with and hope problem solved in an update.

I too use Winaero Tweaker but had to reboot the machine for that setting to take effect.

thats because of a change a few builds ago. you cannot just remove it anymore. now it replaces the overlay with a blank icon in order to "remove" the arrow
