This tutorial will show you how to reset touchpad settings and gestures to default for your account in Windows 11.
If your Windows 11 device (ex: laptop) has a built-in precision touchpad, you can reset all of its settings and gestures back to default on demand as needed.
Here's How:
1 Open Settings (Win+I).
2 Click/tap on Bluetooth & devices on the left side, and click/tap on Touchpad on the right side. (see screenshot below)
3 Click/tap on Touchpad to expand it open. (see screenshot below step 5)
4 Turn off Touchpad. (see screenshot below step 5)
5 Click/tap on the Reset button. (see screenshot below)
The Reset button will be grayed out while touchpad is turned on.
6 Touchpad will now automatically get turned back on with all of its settings and gestures reset to default. (see screenshot below)
7 You can now close Settings if you like.
