Devices Reset Touchpad Settings and Gestures to Default in Windows 11

  • Staff

This tutorial will show you how to reset touchpad settings and gestures to default for your account in Windows 11.

If your Windows 11 device (ex: laptop) has a built-in precision touchpad, you can reset all of its settings and gestures back to default on demand as needed.

Here's How:

1 Open Settings (Win+I).

2 Click/tap on Bluetooth & devices on the left side, and click/tap on Touchpad on the right side. (see screenshot below)

3 Click/tap on Touchpad to expand it open. (see screenshot below step 5)

4 Turn off Touchpad. (see screenshot below step 5)

5 Click/tap on the Reset button. (see screenshot below)

The Reset button will be grayed out while touchpad is turned on.

6 Touchpad will now automatically get turned back on with all of its settings and gestures reset to default. (see screenshot below)

7 You can now close Settings if you like.

That's it,
