I am having trouble restoring an image with either Macrium or Aomei. The problem is everything backs up fine but when I try to restore, my main SSD is no longer available or visible. Here is what Macrium sees ( Aomei is the same )
My SSD is partitioned to C and D.
My rescue media a USB E
and my backup drive is G
When I backup, all is fine and when I boot to the rescue media all is fine and the SSD is showing all the partitions correctly, but when I try to restore the pc will not find the SSD and it now calls the old G drive with the image on the C drive, The Rescue media which was E is now D and there is a Boot which is X, so I cannot find the SSD to restore to.
Everything is fine until I boot to any rescue media...
I wonder if this could be a BIOS problem.
Any help would be great, Thanks

Yes it is according to the manual. it is 2X2GB drives in raid 0. It used to work fine until an Alienware update.

FIXED... an in place repair of Win 11 and new rescue media USB did the trick.
I didn't know that you can change the drive mapping from the Macrium Restore wizard

IRST drivers (what we once called f6) MUST be included either in your restore media OR loaded from external media during restore. Make sure you have the correct one for 13th generation core processor.

Thanks. It looks like Macrium or the repair must have sorted it as I am seeing all drives and they are correct and I can now backup and restore fine.
