Has anyone had the the context menu not stay on screen when you right click? Sometimes it takes 4 or 5 times before I can get it to stay on the screen. Also when you rename it won't allow you to position the cursor with the mouse, it selects the file. Any advice? My settings for folder options are for single click to open an item

Try left clicking then right click.. it seems to be a work around.

Also, what build are you running? Lots of people complained about this on older builds, but at least a couple have said this is not happening nearly as much on current builds. And with your options to single click to open an item, I can see why you are not able to left click on an item before right clicking it.

It may be because your mouse is moving just enough for Windows to detect movement and cancelling the context menu, or else you have a real hardware issue that is either sending extra signals, or else is faulty in some other way, and thus making windows think that you have moved or else clicked again when in fact you actually have not. Fastest way to check would be to see if another mouse does the same thing (and it doesn't matter if this did not happen previously, electronics go bad unexpectedly, and it could just be very, very bad timing). Another good test would be to take your existing mouse to another machine not running 11 and see if anything similar manifests.

If you could detail what you do and what you are trying to accomplish, that would help - does this happen in every window, including the desktop? Or only in certain programs, or in certain areas? Are you using a wireless or wired mouse or trackpad? Laptop or desktop? Have you checked for updated drivers?

Ummmmm, no.
The left click opens the folder or file, then the context no long applies....... :ROFLMAO:

Let me rephrase.....

After left clicking, and folder or file opens, right clicking or its context menu doesn't apply since the folder or file is no longer in focus.
