Right time to leave the Insider Program

I wish to leave the Insider Program when Win 11 is released on Oct.5th. I am in the Beta channel. Should I ask to "unenroll this device when the next version of Windows releases" just before the final release is downloaded or do I download it first then leave as I want to keep Windows 11 and just get normal updates like non insiders. My other machine will stay as an insider. Thanks

Why not switch to Release Preview channel and see the upcoming changes and improvements, esp. on your good PC? You don't need to be a tester, it's simply interesting, especially if you have installed Windows 11 to look at it before release.

Thanks Slavic, My good Pc is fine how it is, I just want this one on the same build and getting the same updates as the released version, I just don't want both pc's in the insider program

"unenroll this device when the next version of Windows releases" should do what you want, and so is the thing to do, if you have not already done so - although I would check your insider status on the 6th october as this is a little close to the release point for Microsoft's internal systems :wink:

I am on Release Preview on Windows 10 and have already been offered the upgrade to windows 11 so we are close
