If you decide to buy a Samsung mobile phone with dual sim capability, be aware that there are 2 types of dual sim
1) 2 Sim slots plus an SD card slot.
2) Hybrid Dual Sim - this is a really stupid design - you can either have 2 Sims and no SD card, or 1 Sim+ an SD card but you cannot have 2 Sims and an SD card. I cannot think what sort of idiots though this was a good design.
I did not realise the latter existed until one day I needed an extra SIM card and found I would have to dispense of the SD card. You can use a usb stick connected by a usb cable but that is not really that convenient.
What really surprised me is this stupid "feature" seems to be random across the Samsung range i.e. not just targeted at low end phones to save money. In fact, as far as I can tell, this is increasingly becoming the standard feature, paticularly on 5G phones.
I do not know if other makes of mobile phone do this but check just in case.
I have no idea about e-sim phones.
