All, I had an issue not passing the secure boot Win 11 upgrade test. The bios would not recognize my M.2 flash drive as the UEFI boot, and I would have to force the computer to boot up my M.2 in a menu. After much consternation and research, I fixed it. I updated the mobo bios a few days ago and that fixed the TPM 2.0 issue I had before but that didn't fix the secure boot issue.

So after looking at all the NVME driver pages, and many other rabbit holes, I fixed my computer in about 20 minutes. The problem with the flash drive M.2 boot partition is that it was an MBR, not GPT. It has to be GPT. So here is how you fix it. I had to go through the restart troubleshoot recovery menu to get to the command prompt that I needed. It wouldn't let me do it from Windows.

Welcome to Eleven Forums RWS_Rasta

Just a tip, if you had used mbr2gpt /convert /allowFullOS instead of mbr2gpt /convert, to carry out the conversion, then it probably would have worked from Windows.

I don't suppose you are too concerned, as you managed to succeed via the recovery environment.

True, but when I was in Windows, it said I wasn't an administrator and it wouldn't let me execute commands from there. I am indeed the admin on my computer, but I didn't want to deal with it and did it from the troubleshoot command prompt. Thank you for your input.

(y) Ah! An administrator user account is not what was required in that situation. Instead use an administrator command prompt (sometimes known as an Elevated Command Prompt). The administrators command prompt can be started by typing cmd into the search box, then right-mouse clicking on the search result, and select "Run as administrator". There are several CMD commands that only work when started inside an administrator command prompt.
