Samsung One UI 8.5 Official Rollout Starts May 6, 2026

Samsung is expanding the One UI 8.5 rollout to more devices, bringing the latest Galaxy AI features across the Samsung Galaxy ecosystem. The update focuses on enhancing communication and creative experiences on Galaxy mobile phones and tablets, including the Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy S25 FE, Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy S24 FE, Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7, Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6, Galaxy Tab S11 series and Galaxy Tab S10 series.

One UI 8.5 will begin rolling out in Korea starting May 6 with additional regions to follow.

I'm new back to Samsung, so would appreciate a list of the ones you disabled/uninstalled.

Been daily driving a Google Pixel for a good while and although the system is still Android, One UI is much different.

S26+, it's in the settings/apps list on mine. If you find it you'll want to clear it's cache, turn off notifications, and disable that pest. Oh, it's a built in system app so can't be deleted, only disabled.

Extremely nasty, and if you click it by mistake or not knowing what it will do then happy hunting finding the dozen or more junk apps it installs all at one time on your phone.

Use Dark Mode wherever you can, dark wallpaper, etc.
Turn off vibration, haptic feedback, animations, etc.

Settings > Apps > tap on the three dots (top right) > Special app access > Usage access > Digital wellbeing

Probably. You could Show System Apps and check again just to be sure. Mine was on the main list, same with AppCloud!

Kind of odd..., on my A35 it was called AppHub, on my A17 it was called AppCloud..., clicking on See details in Store at the bottom of either, it just brings you to the Samsung Store, not to a specific app! 🤷‍♂️

Just got a new A57 a few days ago and wanted to use Battery Saver. In my old A52 under Standard Saver I could keep 5g turned on but the rest off. The turn 5g on/off option seems to have gone. I turned Standard Saver on and missed calls etc. Have they removed the 5g option or hidden it somewhere else?

Not clear what you are asking.

If you want to not use 5g
settings, connections, mobile networks, network mode - set to 4g preferred.

If you want to use 5g - set to 5g preferred.
