This tutorial will show you how to save your creation as an editable .paint project file from the Paint app in Windows 11.
The Paint app included in Windows 11 is a simple and powerful graphics editor with a range of uses. You can edit images quickly or create masterpieces with the tools in this app. Once you’re done, you’ll be able to save and share your files in almost any format.
Starting with Paint app version 11.2508.361.0 for Windows Insiders on Windows 11, Microsoft is introducing two powerful enhancements that bring more flexibility to your creative workflow. First, Microsoft is introducing project files, you can now save your creation as an editable Paint project file and seamlessly pick up where you left off. When you’re ready to return, simply open the .paint file to launch it in Paint, right where you left off.
Here's How:
1 Open the Paint app.
2 When you are ready to save your artwork, click/tap on File on the menu bar, and click/tap on Save as project. (see screenshot below)
3 Navigate to where you want to save the .paint file, enter a file name you want, and click/tap on Save. (see screenshot below)
That's it,
Shawn Brink
