Search not working (admin privileges issue?)

Hi, thanks for any tips. It's not really life threatening, but annoying and time consuming to do without.

After upgrading to Windows 11 searching no longer works. Not in the Start menu, neither in explorer, but strangely enough it works in control panels.
Anywhere else it doesn't even let me write anything into the search field.

Also I'm not sure if it's normal in Win11, but the system often asks me to "do something as an admin" with the popup confirmation window, like even when I want to create a new folder in Program Files (folder access denied), so could it be perhaps both caused by something in the admin rights?

I am the only user, my account is set as admin and I tried some tips from the internet like: usual troubleshooting, search indexing and SFC/DISM commands, reregistering Cortana (although it says not supported for my region), yet to no avail.

Any ideas?

This IS normal in Win 11. When you want to make changes to anything in Program Files folder.
Like this for example. I just tried to add a folder to the Mozilla folder located in Program Files, and got this...

That's normal...
It's just Microsoft's way of protecting items in important folders.
You just click Continue.... and it should allow it.

Haha, you are blocking FF updates by putting it in Enterprise mode, right? (I do the same)

Hi. Try these , i solved search and administrator rights with :

1) Create a .reg file with that code

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System]
"PromptOnSecureDesktop"=dword:00000000
"EnableLUA"=dword:00000000
"ConsentPromptBehaviorAdmin"=dword:00000000

You can note your current settins of those keys or export them , in case to you want to revert changes.

2) Download "Winaero tweaker" and select "Disable Smart screen".
