OS
windows 11
service host: state repository service,
service host: remote procedure call,
service host: capability access manager

(in particular though a few of the other ones will pop up) are using "Very High" power and often >50% CPU during gaming, which is causing modern games to become unplayable due to stuttering. I don't notice too many issues when *not* gaming, though of course i'm not using as many resources then either

Ryzen 9, AMD 7800 XT, 32GB RAM (i.e., no issue with PC specs)

can't turn most of these services off, the few that i can manipulate just turn themselves back on. I have tried rolling back Windows, and a few little tips found on the web but nothing makes any difference

appreciate any options or suggestions, it's utterly ruining gaming on the PC

Hello and welcome to the forum. 50% when gaming does not seem high to me but I'm not a gamer myself so am not the best to give advise on that. Sorry none of our gamers who have more experience with this has answered your post. Until one jumps in, I recommend your install the latest graphics driver issued 9/19/23 https://www.amd.com/en/support/grap...d-radeon-rx-7800-series/amd-radeon-rx-7800-xt

Most here advice to remove your old graphics drive AND software using DDU in safe mode. This allows a totally clean install of the new driver. Read the instructions carefully. Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) download version 18.0.6.8

Restart and then install your new driver.
