I run windows scaled to 150% because of low vision. A while ago, perhaps in tenforums, someone posted a "trick" which allows me to open Chrome scaled down so that the tabs and toolbar don't take up a large amount of vertical screen real estate. I use a shortcut and the target is amended by putting /high-dpi-support=1 /force-device-scale-factor=1.20 after "chrome.exe". This works with a Chrome shortcut and with an Edge shortcut.
However, when I open a link from any email or any other application Chome opens full size taking up a great deal of vertical space.
I found the trick cited above and I've gratefully used it for quite some time. But I don't understand it and therefore have no knowledge of how I might apply it elsewhere. I've tried using Windows compatability scaling but it seems I can only change scaling for every application rather than for a particular one.
Would very much appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks
